Have you ever seen someone with a completely symmetrical face? I think not, because that is difficult to find, because you’re left side of you face can not possibly be exact same as your right. A myth says that people who have more symmetrical faces are considered more attractive than those who don’t.

Julian Wolkenstein is doing something that is called echoism; he basically takes a straight forward photograph of people and make two photos of it, by making two faces where the one has two left-sides of the person’s face while the other has two right-sides. It sounds a bit complicated but when you take a look at these photographs you will soon understand what I mean. He is in a way making people look symmetrical because both sides of your face are alike.

It is funny for him to see if people like themselves more how they look with a completely symmetrical face or is it just weird? You can try yourself too, and see how you would look like with both sides of your face made into two symmetrical faces of yours.

Something similar has been done with /upside-down-head-photos-look-very-creepy/"> these face portraits where the upper part of the head is switched with the lowest part, take a look.
