Now that the autumn season is here the leaves are turning into warm colors and giving artist inspiration. One man that got inspired by the beauty of autumn was artist and designer Dave Rittinger from Brooklyn. He created a collection consisting of five t-shirt that are made out of colorful leaves from different trees that he has glued together so it’s possible to wear them. He calls the t-shirts “zero footprint shirts of the leaf series” and he made them in yellow, green, purple, brown and red. It is quite creative and interesting way to make a ecological t-shirt, but not as practical.
The purpose of this project was not to make the shirts wearable but to make you aware of nature and ecology, and how it can be amazing and wild, but at the same time unpractical to modern life. Other clothing that is created and exhibited but not so wearable are these 5 strange runway fashion styles.
